Jhonnathan Comacho is a third generation coffee farmer in Costa Rica but being a doctor is his day job. He grows his coffee near his friend Oscar Mendez farm "Finca Genesis". Since Jhonnathan is a fairly busy guy Oscar processes and mills the coffee once it is picked. We had a chance to visit Oscar back in 2018 and were blown away at his attention to detail. Everything he produces on the farm (including the chickens) is organic even though he's not technically certified.

This coffee is the F1 variety which is a hybrid meaning - First Generation. This specific hybrid is Villa Sarchi bred with Catimor and the heirloom variety Rume Sudan.
