
SOUP MIXES
Our dry soup packages are ready to mix with water or milk and water depending on the flavour. Additional ingredients can be added if desired, but are not required.
Country Harvest:
Here's a hearty soup with true "stick-to-your-ribs" goodness. With five types of beans & lentils, black & brown rice, onions, vegetables, and both chicken & beef stock, this comfort soup will keep you full and smiling.
To prepare:
In a pot, mix contents of package with 7 cups water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer on medium low for 25 to 30 minutes until tender. Stir occasionally. Can also reduce water by 1/2 cup and cook in slow cooker on high heat for 2 hours.
Serves 6.
Ingredients: Dried vegetables (potatoes, carrots, onions, cabbage, green peppers, leeks, red peppers, parsley), chopped onion, m.s.g.-free beef stock (sugars (glucose solids), salt, onion powder, caramel colour (sulphites), beef broth, beef fat, natural flavor (milk), disodium inosinate, disodium guanylate.), m.s.g.-free chicken stock (salt, dextrose, corn flour, chicken fat (includes rosemary extract), dehydrated cane molasses (includes color), onions, garlic, spices, sugar, corn syrup solids, artificial colour including tartrazine, flavour (includes celery)), lentils (green, brown, and red), brown rice, black rice, green split peas, yellow split pidgeon peas, garlic.
Creamy Vegetable:
This rich, creamy soup gives you scoop after scoop of warm comfort complete with chopped vegetables and just the right amount of onions. Enjoy according to package instructions, or add cooked chicken breast for a nice, hearty alternative.
To prepare:
In a pot, whisk contents of package with 3 cups water and 2 cups milk. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer on medium low for 15 minutes until vegetables are soft. Stir frequently.
Serves 5.
Ingredients: Dried vegetables (potatoes, carrots, onions, cabbage, green peppers, leeks, red peppers, parsley), onions, flour, m.s.g.-free chicken broth (salt, dextrose, wheat and corn flour, powdered cooked chicken, chicken fat, parsley, natural flavor, silicon dioxide, disodium inosinate, disodium guanylate).
French Onion:
We don't skimp on the onions in this old time favorite. Enjoy as is, or broil in the oven in French onion soup bowls with bread and mozzarella cheese.
To prepare:
In a pot, mix contents of package with 5 cups water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer on medium low for 10 to 15 minutes until onions are soft.
Serves 5.

Green Split Pea:
A traditional green split pea soup inspired by the recipe Angela Appleton's gramma made for years. This is as close as it gets to homemade without starting with the ham bone. Enjoy prepared according to instructions, or add rinsed (to reduce sodium) chopped ham for a nice addition.
To Prepare:
In a pot, mix contents of package with 7 cups water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer on medium low for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
